Our Cat had more kittys last night or early this morning. Brittany is so excited.... We think that there are 3 all though there are reports of 4 Tony and I can see 2 black and white and 1 black all though Brayden and Brittany said they saw 2 black and white and 2 black. She has not come out of the Lawn mower bag yet ( yes she had them in the lawn mower bag). She must feel safe in there.

Tyson's New Bike

So Tyson got his free bike running and had an absolute blast on it. But decided that it was time for a bigger bike. I said OK. I don't know what I was thinking!!!! OK maybe I wasn't. So he bought this bike and it is another fixer upper but he loves that.

Our neighbor Colter Crowther is an amazing bike mechanic!!! Tyson went to Colter and asked him what he thought about this bike and told him all the stuff that needed to be done ( just the engine had to be put together) and then asked him if he would help him. Colter was so excited to get started on it he was asking Tyson everyday if they could start granted it only took Tyson 2 days to get going on it. Now we have it as put together as it can go cause the guy lied and said he had all the parts but he is missing a very important part the kick start shaft and the kick start lever. So we are now on a hunt for those items. But he is so excited to get it running and I will get pics of him riding it after it is running.

A Free Bike for Tyson

In June we had Youth Conference down at the Old Pinery, The youth did such an awesome job planning it. They made the Book of Mormon come alive for us. It was incredible. We had a war with our noodle swords that we decorated and my favorite part was that we got to hit people with them and they didn't hurt it was so fun. In our down time we played football in the meadow and i learned how to play. It was a good time.

We went to Las Vegas to move Grandma Hansen into her "new" house. We worked hard all week cleaning, painting, and moving her in. In our spare time we just happened to find the swimming pool. Tyson sure likes to drag people in with him. We went bowling at The Santa Fe Station just like old times. We had a blast visiting all of our vegas friends and were invited to dinner with the Doles. We played Scum and laughed until midnight. We needed that. Tyson's friends had a party when they heard he was in town. When we went to pick him up there he was surrounded by his harem teaching them Nertz. We had a blast and thanks to Kevin and Carrie for their hospitality and We Love You Grandma Jan.

We spent Easter in Vegas with Kevin and Carrie. We had so much fun we love hanging out with the Hansen's. We didn't do much we went out to eat a few times, went to a La Crosse game ( go Bonanza). That was so much fun it was the first La Crosse game that I have ever been to. On Easter the Easter bunny found us (Brittany was a little nervous). :) and left us with egss to hide. Tony and Kevin (Tony's brother) hide the eggs. We had so much fun!

The Burke's came up and hung out by the fire with us and made smores and laughed a lot. Tyson and Brianna were melting starburst and then when they were done with those they melted glow sticks. They are a bunch of pyro's. I love that my kids have good friends. The Burke's are so much fun to hang out with.

Payson Jr Triathlon

Tyson, Brianna and Brittney all signed up for the Payson Jr Triathlon and competed as a co-ed team. Brianna started out swimming 125 meters and Tyson rode his bike 3.2 miles and Brittney ran 2 miles. They got a really cool shirt and water bottle. But most of all they had a blast. What cute friends!!!!

Road Trip Anyone

Brittany and I went on a road trip Friday January 6-8 to Las Vegas and we had a blast. We stayed at Grandmas new apartment and then we went out to dinner on Saturday for the February birthdays to the Cheesecake Factory Yummy.(Thank you Kevin and Carrie) Then Sunday we stopped and saw the Howards that was so much fun. I loved seeing Christy again. I miss everyone in Vegas. Brittany and I played games on the way down and made up a new game instead of the beetle bug hit game we played Swift, everytime you see a Swift truck you tap the person on the arm and spell Swift as you tap them it is fun and i didnt realize how many swift trucks are out there. It was a fun game she made up.

New Counter Tops

Well we got our new counter tops after waiting 3 months. A week before our house warranty (this is not typical of our luck.)was up we developed a crack in our counter tops above the dishwasher. Well they came out and inspected them and discovered that they were not installed right to begin with and that is why they cracked. The company that installed our countertops went out of business and so they were going to give us Granite but i didnt want a stainless steel sink so all in all it worked out and I have beautiful new counter tops and a black granite sink.

Sledding With the YW and YM

We went Sledding in January for our combined meeting and it was a blast. Beth and I were a team and we raced everyone that did'nt want to get there butts kicked. We only crashed once right next to the light post so that this momentus occasion could be recorded for all to see. But we really had a great time laughing and screaming everytime we went down the hill. Only coming close to the playground once. :)

Tyson started wresteling in Oct 2008 and is loving it. He is really good also. His first meet he pinned his first guy in 30 sec and the second guy (althought it looks like he is not winning) :) He pinned this guy in the second round in 30 sec. I had to dress up for work on Halloween and I couldnt find a costume and Brittany wanted to be a witch so she said "Mom will you be a witch with me I said yes and then I went to my mom and she made me and Brittany a costume, she made my hat our capes and our dresses. Trunk Or Treat 7th ward

So our ward Trunk or Treat was on Thursday Oct 30, it was so much fun. We went to the church and we had chili and hot dogs for dinner and then the YW were in charge of the games for the primary kids so we had bowling, fish pond, Eating donuts off a string. My mom brought a blow up frankin stein and we took pictures in it it was fun. Then the kids went trunk or treating. Good time, Good times.

There ward Trunk or Treat was on Saturday October 25th it was fun they had apple cider and donuts for the kids (as if the candy they were about to beg for was not enough =).) Tyson has discovered football and has decided that it is a blast. So when ever possiable he gets as many people to play with him as possiable. So he got B.J. This month at FHE we painted our pumpkins so that they would still be good for the holiday and we could carve them later. We had so much fun putting stickers and Tammi's family the most creative with the stickers made faces and hair their pumpkins turned out so cute. Braydens birthday was a week after school started this yr. Brayden, Tyson and Tony all went Coyote hunting at 6pm in the morning. Tyson's 13th Birthday

Tyson Turned 13 in August. Tony and Tyson went to a father and sons outing the night before and had so much fun. So Saturday morning Brittany and I got up and decorated the house so when he came in the back door he walked in to streamers it was so much fun. Tinker Belle

This is our newest edition to the family. Her name is Tinker Belle. We call her Tink for short. She is 10 weeks old and is a Jack Russell Terrier she is so smart and has a way cute personality. She is very mellow for a Jack Russell. She loves the kids and they love her. SHE LOVES to play with Dusty but Dusty wants nothing to do with her. She has figured it out that he is NOT her best friend so she likes to tease him. It is fun to watch. Well we will up date more pictures of her and hopefully Dusty as well and hopefully they will get along soon.

Brayden went to EFY this week with some friends from Las Vegas. Colby, and Amanda they had so much fun. They learned a lot, made lots of new friends and Can't wait til next year to go back and learn more about the gospel. They are on the go from the time they get there on Monday til we pick them up between 6:30 and 7:30 am on Saturday. So as you can imagine they are exhausted when they get home. This is where he landed he didn't even make it to his bed 2 ft away. They are already planning on trying to get in on the same session as the rest of their friends. Brayden is such a great kid and has such a drive to learn about the gospel and live righteously. He is such a great example to me. I love u buddy.

Horse Riding with Haley

Haley came and stayed with us for a week and a half. While she was here we went to Nellie house and she let the girls ride her horses Rose and Penny. She is so sweet she spent so much time with the girls teaching them all kinds of things about horses and teaching them how to ride bareback. Thanks Nellie you are Awesome.

4th of July @ Bear Lake

Every year we go to Bear Lake for the 4th it is so much fun. Tammi and Jeff my sister and bro. in-law have a cabin on the lake on the east shore. So we go up make our annual stop in Wyoming to get fireworks and then head to the cabin. We hang out and play in the water. This year we rented a jet ski that was a blast! We learned how to use a skim board. We played kick ball every night (kids against parents) The parents won everynight until Bret and Lindsey came up and played on the kids team. They Kicked our butts but they made it so much fun. It was so good to see Bret again and his very cute family. We watched all the fire works next to the lake and wow it was beautiful.

So one day Nellie was so sweet to share her knowledge and love for her horses. She taught us a lot. She took the kids for rides and taught them how to feed the horse and how to get on. Baseball Days

Well Baseball is over and what a crazy schedual it was. With 3 kids playing on 3 different fields @ 3 different times (starting at 5:30 and going til 9 or 10 tue- thurs ) and alot of the time in different citys it was crazy fun. Brittany played coach pitch and got to play all different positions. She got to play catcher and decided that she really liked it. But I also think that has to do with some coaching from Aunt D and Erin who said that if you want to play alot of the game be a catcher or a pitcher. Brittany did well as a catcher she was quick and got that mask off and got or caught the ball. Brayden has quit an arm on him he can throw really far with out trying. He was usually put in right field or he played 3rd base. Tyson was a 1st baseman and can throw far also. They all 3 hit the ball really well. We are so happy that baseball is over ( im tired) but cant wait til it starts again next year.

Tyson found this Bull snake in our backyard while he was moving the last section of rocks. It was hiding between the metal window well thingy and some rocks. He was having fun freaking me out cause I couldn't tell if it was a baby rattler or a bull snake. Finally I told him to kill it so that we could keep it and show tony when he got home. It was a bull snake and they kill rattlesnakes so not so good to kill them. So I guess I will have to change my saying: "The only good snake is a dead snake." Because I would rather have bull snakes then Rattlesnakes!!!

Last Week Of School

YEA!!!!!! The last week of school was busy as always. Tyson(6th) and Brittany( 2nd) had an Awards Ceremony and they did so well they were both got High Honor Roll Awards. Tyson also got an award for participating in the science fair. Tyson and Brayden also built a catapult for the 6th and 2nd grade catapult war. They had to knock over boxes and little army guys (the army guys counted for more points). When we brought in the catapult the second grade had made their's and it was so small it was made out of tongue depressors. Tyson just laughed and said to Brittany" 2nd grade is goin' down!!!!" Tyson's Teacher Ms. Sorensen said that she would let the 2 second grade teachers paint her hair blue if the 6th grade lost. Well the second grade one and Ms. Sorensen got her hair painted. Just goes to prove that BIGGER is NOT always BETTER!!! :)

We got a little sod for our backyard from a neighbor that had extra. Our great neighbors next door came and helped us lay sod in the rain. They are awesome. We are so excited for our sod we cant wait for the rest of our back yard to get done.

Mothers Day 2008

Mothers Day was so much fun. We went to mom and dads for a party, we had a BBQ with everyone the food was super yummy. We got Daisy's in Church were we had to speak as a family for mothers day. Knowing now what I know now it was the end of life as we know it. That day was the day that the stake president and the Bishop decided that Tony would be a great Bishopric member. So now he is the 1st councilor in our Bishopric. Crazy stuff.

Holy Crap will it EVER stop snowing?

May 23, 2008 I think that one of these days it will be summer! When! I don't know? But it sure is beautiful. This is the mountain I look at every day from my front door. I was amazed at the stark contrast between the green of the foothills and the white mountains behind them. They say we got another foot of snow in the mountains from this last storm. I only hope that our reservoir here in Santaquin will fill all the way up so we can go fishing.

Brayden's 20hr Project

Brayden presented his 20hr project yesterday. He has been working on a few songs that he has written but for his project he picked one and his wonderful choir teacher Mrs. Boles put in at least 3 hrs of her own time to help him get music to the lyrics. They are not quit done with the composing yet but there was enough for him to sing it for his class and finish his project. He did such a great job especially since he has strep throat and his throat hurts really bad. There where only a few squeaky parts :) but it sounded beautiful and he had some people cry. Keep it up Buddy!!

Tyson's Science Fair

We are so proud of Tyson he took 1st place in his science fair. He won 4 passes to Lazer assault. He is so excited, when i picked him up from school that day he was bouncing out of his skin and said" I'm going to take Brayden, and 2 of my friends from school". When I was there that day Judging some of the projects (i couldn't judge Tyson's for obvious reasons) I was able to watch him be interviewed and got to watch him answer questions he did such a good job and it was very fun to see people be impressed with him. He knows so much about cars and they way they work i was impressed. GOOD JOB TYS!!!!!

Grandpa's Roses

Grandpa Phil has the most beautiful roses. When we were there in April they were in full bloom and smelled so pretty. They line his whole back yard. He also has a Bottle brush plant and palm trees.Grandpas so proud of his roses he loves the way they look and smell. After 4 years of owning our camera we are still learning new things about the macro setting. We love going to grandma and grandpas !

They are growing Yeah!!! We are so exited that our mini garden is growing. We have a bunch of flowers, tomatoes and apple trees. It has been so fun we can't wait to plan them in our yard if it EVER gets Warm here.

Life Scouts

Brayden and Tyson Hit a major accomplishment this week they both got there Life Scout rank. So now the race is on to Eagle. I told them it wasn't a competition but they both said Yes it is at the same time. I guess the race is on. We are so PROUD of you.

Hershey Track Meet

Tyson's class participated in the Hershey Track Meet. He did very well. The first run he did was the 100 meter dash he took second. Then he ran the 800 meter run and he took 6th. He loves running and is good at it. I think that we will try and find him a track team for him. You are Awesome Tys.

Spring Break

For Spring Break we went to Las Vegas. It was so warm and sunny, lots of palm trees and lots of fun for the kids with there friends. We played in the pool and Visited the kids friends. We also hung out with Kevin and Carrie and there darling girls that are soooo much fun. We really miss them. Tresha and Rylee were there also it was so much fun, they are fun fun girls. We loved hangin with them. The kids had fun with grandpa in the pool also. While we were there and playing at the pool, Tyson had a little accident and cut in between his pinky toe and the next toe. So he did crutches while we were there. We have now been back for about 2 weeks and it is finally heeled.

Easter 2008

Easter was so much fun, I love being with our family. We had a great day. It all started with church and then an Easter Egg Hunt at our house and then off to grandma's and grandpa's for the FUN Easter Egg Hunt. Here are a few pictures of the fun.

A week with Easton and Skylar

Easton and Skylar came and played at my house. We had sooo much fun, we made cookies and painted nails and played Batman and Skylar and Make up artist. I love you guys tons glad you came and played with me.

Planting Flowers from Seeds

Tyson and Brittany Planted Tomato's, Zebrina, Hollyhock, Snapdragons, and Johnny Jump ups. It was so fun. We can't wait to see them grow and then plant them in our new yard. I hope they turn out. I guess that is were faith comes in right?

Brayden's Science Fair Project

Brayden took 3rd at the regional Science Fair At BYU. He took 3rd in his category Environmental Science. Everyone that placed in the Science Fair also gets a check but we don't know how much it will be until it showes up in the mail. We are so proud of him.
